SUMMARY:Roots So Deep You Can See The Devil Down There - Documentary
DESCRIPTION:ROOTS SO DEEP is the cinematic portrayal of one of the most hopeful and transformative movements in modern agriculture. \nThe film tells the story of inventive cattle farmers and maverick scientists who are reimagining how we work with the land\, tracing their journey from conventional practices rooted in generations of tradition to a revolutionary approach that mimics the way bison once roamed the plains. Highlighting both the human stories on both sides of the fence and the groundbreaking research measuring soil health\, carbon drawdown\, biodiversity\, and farmer prosperity\, the series gives audiences a front-row seat to the potential of adaptive\, regenerative grazing as never before. This is where the solution begins.

Well\, it didn’t really\, but our story takes you on a frivolous frolic through the French countryside. The Ogres garden in the Mushroom patch while the Corn and Potato spies report back to Madame Gothel. Frenchy and his intense friends\, the Wood Elves\, do their best to help Rapunzel escape the grasp of Madame Gothel. The lost Prince\, Rapunzel’s parents\, and her friends the Unicorns try to help. Just when you think it’s safe to cross the bridge\, a Troll and Three Billy Goats Gruff get in the way. It doesn’t help that the Three Bears (or is it four) confuse Rapunzel with Goldilocks and chase her through the forest. Add to that the Gremlins trying to play tricks on everyone\, and you have chaos! Well\, it’s not that bad because the Pixies foil the Gremlins’ plans most of the time. In short\, Rapunzel and all the rest of the characters tell a silly tale of personal triumph and friendship. \nSPECIAL WORKSHOPS \nTBD

SUMMARY:Southeast Iowa Blues Society Presents: Danielle Nicole Band
DESCRIPTION:Danielle Nicole Band — Coming to Fairfield \nPresented by the Southeast Iowa Blues Society \nTickets go on sale at the FACC Box Office in September 2026. \nGrammy-nominated bassist and vocalist Danielle Nicole brings her gutsy\, blues-soaked sound to Fairfield\, with special guest opener Matt Woods. Doors open at 6:00 PM with BBQ from Sweet N Saucy\, full bar available throughout the evening. \n6:00 PM — Doors Open with Sweet N Saucy BBQ\n7:00 PM — Matt Woods\n8:00 PM — Danielle Nicole Band \nDanielle Nicole\n“That girl gets down to the nitty gritty.” ~ Koko Taylor \nDanielle Nicole Schnebelen began music from the moment she was born. Musical influences from generations on both sides of her parent’s families ensured that a love of playing music would continue to be passed among her and her siblings. \nFans love her for her raw yet controlled vocals and her gutsy lyrics\, which act like a sucker punch on the often male-dominated blues scene. Critics love her for her obvious skill\, honed to a fine point and often garnering her critical acclaim and national awards. \nNicole’s distinctive\, inventive bass work—which resulted in her not only becoming the first woman to ever be nominated in the category of Instrumentalist – Bass in The Blues Foundation’s 2012 Blues Music Awards\, but also the first woman ever to receive the honor—is the product of years of intensive roadwork. \n\nAs a founding member of the “Heavy Blues” sibling band Trampled Under Foot\, she and her brothers took top honors at the International Blues Challenge in the US\, propelling them into Canada\, Scandinavia\, Europe\, UK and was featured on several Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruises. In 2015 Nicole set out on her own with the release of “Wolf Den” recorded in New Orleans with Anders Osborne. \nNicole’s 2017 release of “Cry No More” ushered in not only a heavier sound and style differentiating Nicole’s already broadening voice and writing\, but also accrued a slew of accolades including a 2019 Grammy Nomination for Contemporary Blues Album. She has now added 5 Blues Music Awards and 3 Independent Blue Music Awards to her trophy case. \n6:00 PM – Doors Open with Sweet N Saucy BBQ \n7:00 PM – Matt Woods \n8:00 PM – Danielle Nicole Band \nMatt Woods\nMatt Woods is both a native of Iowa\, and a longstanding purveyor of its diverse music scene.  As a seasoned performer of many local\, regional and national venues\, Matt has developed a distinct style while staying true to his love of traditional American music.  Woods is well versed in the many shapes this music can take; from traditional delta\, hill country and urban electric blues\, to gospel\, country and folk music. \n  \n\n
